Artventure is a Guildford based charity enabling adults with learning disability, physical impairment and autism to be creative, have fun, and make new friends in a safe and sociable environment. We are currently offering free taster days so why not come along to see what we do! Call 01483 304884 to find out more.
Practising artists and volunteers help participants develop both creative and social skills. All areas of the visual arts are explored including painting, textiles, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media. The positive and supportive atmosphere encourages self-confidence and independence.
Volunteers are always most welcome at The Artventure Trust, regardless of age or experience. A few hours of your time can make a real difference. We have volunteers from all walks of life, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you think you are interested in getting involved.
Our fees only cover part of our costs with the rest coming from grants and donations. The National Lottery and Arts Council England have been tremendously supportive but in many ways it's the smaller donations that can make all the difference. Please help in any way you can.
In september 2013, The Electric Theatre in Guildford asked Artventure to design and paint a mural showing "Community".
After many months of hard work, the 32-metre project was unveiled by the Mayor in June 2015.
Painted by some of the area's most vulnerable children and adults, it is a tribute to the power of art to change lives. Find out more.
