Creative Care in Surrey Since 1984
Artventure is a Guildford-based charity that supports adults with learning disabilities, physical impairments, or autism to be creative, have fun, and make new friends in a safe and sociable environment.
Welcome to Artventure Trust. Our Studio is open from Monday to Friday, from 9.30am to 2.30pm during school term time.
Working in small groups, and giving one-to-one attention where necessary, our activities are designed to improve self-expression, develop potential and encourage a greater awareness of self-worth coupled with a real sense of achievement.
A team of experienced and caring artworkers and volunteers, often practising artists themselves, help participants develop creative and social skills. All areas of the visual arts are explored including painting, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, mixed media and photography. The positive, fun and supportive atmosphere encourages self-confidence and independence.
When and Where
Artventure has its purpose built Studio within the grounds of St Peter’s School in Guildford. Sessions take place from 9.30am to 2.30pm every weekday during school term time. We also organise excursions, events and exhibitions for our participants. Exhibiting work in public venues increases people’s sense of personal pride.

You can now support us through the Guildford Lottery. If you wish to try your luck, please buy a ticket and then we receive 50% of what you spend on the ticket as a donation. It is great help for us if you set up a Direct Debit. Thank you and we wish you the best of luck!
Artventure is about people. One of our participants once said that the best thing about Artventure was that it was like a big family, and once you became member of the Artventure family you would be part of it forever. What keeps us together is the genuine care towards our participants and their families.
HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh visited Artventure Trust. The Duchess met the staff and volunteers of the charity and spent time with the learning disabled participants, before joining in with an art activity.
During SAOS more than a hundred artworks will be exhibited by 36 Artventure artists in our very own studio in Merrow. The exhibition will be open from 11 am to 5pm every day. We hope to see you all.
